| lots happening in the next 5 or so days for a thousand plateaus
tomorrow night we're playing an aucoustic set (including bongos, woot) at rocky's
friday night we have a show at morris house, sunny day disaster is opening for us at 9:30
then on monday it's our big show at the intersection w/ fancy thermos and adam pringle (i actually have no idea who he is)
it'd be pretty sweet if you can make it to any of those...it's really nice to see friendly faces. let me know if you need directions or info to any of those places. | | |

| it's been a while (yes that was the lamest possible way i could think of to open a blog entry). a thousand plateaus (new and final name for our band) is doing pretty good. we've got a couple of songs recorded and on myspace, and have a show coming up along with some possible bookings.
life's not bad, i've recently realized that my 2 months of doing little to no school work has culminated to 3 really crappy days ahead. my final tv production project monday, a 4 day late paper that i'll hopefully do tonight, and a bio mid-term weds....giddyup. after that though, i'm 2 finals away from being done with calvin...for a while possibly. there's a decent chance i'll be attending compass academy (film school downtown) next year, which i'm pretty excited about. also...it's time to fiiiinally move into my house come june. welp, that's all for now...peace out | | |
| woopdy woop! mark your calendars (all 2 of you or so that read this). leftofright (pronounced left-of-right), the band i'm in, has it's first concert, of the house variety, next friday. it's free, it's at the house where we play, if you want directions let me know. also...our first actual gig is on april 24 at the intersection...front room, not the main stage. we're opening for a band, we should be on around 9 or so, i think it's 2 bones at the door. now i'd just like to apologize for wasting your time with this shameless plug.

| been doing a lot of thinking lately. i've been thinking about all the things that i've thought as values or as what is "bad" or "good". i've come to realize that most all of those things i believe is because that's what i've been taught for the past 19 years of my life. i've taken them as truth, almost always backed by the church (crc...don't get me started). so i started seriously questioning them, and i've found that things i've been taught to be "wrong"...things you shouldn't do, is a load of crap. i still have to sort a lot of stuff out in my head and figure stuff out...but it's for myself, and i feel a lot better about that. | | |
